The top portion of the front is going to house your organizational pocket. Like a headphones case or tech pouch (I used the Bellroy version). That's important because it means you can put something in there that's 3D. It's not just a slash pocket with no space. The bottom one, takes up half the bag and has its own volume. The front of the bag is dominated by two nice pockets. This is going to be better for taller, thinner bottles or even an umbrella. The bag has external compression straps (foreshadow alert - stay tuned), a laptop sleeve for up to a 15.6 incher, and a luggage pass through on the back if you're not using this as your only bag. But for you large water bottle people, you might not dig this one. I'm not a water bottle pocket guy, so I can take these or leave them. You can see it pictured with my portable French press. There is a water bottle holder on the outside. It's got lots of features, but nothing you really don't need. I mentioned this bag has a lot to offer, and that's true so let's go over that. Something about it just looks perfect on this bag. I don't say this often, but I regret not getting the black. The bag comes in black, the gray I have, and navy blue. The bag retails on their site for $230.00 USD, though they do occasionally have sales like any other company. It's also got plenty of pockets, an external water bottle holder, grab handles, and a nice harness system. I mean if someone wants to nick your travel shoes, jokes on them. All but the shoe compartment and top pocket are lockable, but those do not provide access to the internal main compartment. The laptop zipper uses an aquaguard version - nice to see. Not positive, but I'll guess an 8 or 10 sized. This community dings any company not using YKK, so glad to see it there to keep the internet hounds at bay. You've got brand name hardware like Duraflex clips, and the old standby YKK zippers. It's made of 900D fabric that's eco-dyed. I tend to like 35-45 liters, depending on the trip (the larger end for something like a wedding or a trip with dinners that will require a jacket and additional shoes). The total volume is 33 liters, which is just about my wheelhouse range for onebag travel. This bag has been featured by the likes of the New York Times and Wirecutter, and with good reason. In either scenario, the opinions and thoughts would all be my own regardless. For full disclosure, I purchased this bag on my own so it was not provided by the company as a review unit. This is my review of the Aer Travel Pack 2. Gone are the days of the giant hiking back pack stuffed to the gills (or at least, they should be gone) - unless you're you know, hiking. The bag promises top notch materials, good water resistance, and lots of functionality while also not making you stand out too much in the crowd - something a lot of experienced travelers want. Leave me alone, I've got to start somewhere. I didn't review that one, but I'm excited to have this one in the Always Wander studios. On top of that, they specialize in minimal, near bulletproof designs with everything you need, and nothing you don't. I think you can consider them another one of the stars of the "onebag" travel scene. I mean, you don't get to make a version 2 without a 1, yeah? Captain obvious points aside, Aer had a pretty successful run with their first version of the pack. If you follow these steps, you should be able to successfully recondition a battery and bring it back to life. This will help to ensure that the battery is working properly and that it will hold a charge for a longer period of time. This can be done with a standard charger or with a battery reconditioning charger.Īfter the battery is charged back up, the final step is to use the battery. Once the battery is discharged, the next step is to charge the battery back up. This can be done by using the battery until it is completely dead, or by using a battery discharge tool. The first step in reconditioning a battery is to discharge the battery completely. It’s a simple process that anyone can do, and it can be done with any type of battery. Reconditioning a battery is basically a process of resetting the battery so that it can be used again. However, there are ways to bring dead batteries back to life, and one of those ways is through a process called reconditioning. How Do You Bring A Dewalt Battery Back To Life?īatteries are one of the most important components in any electronic device, and when they die, it can be frustrating. Once the discharged battery is fully charged, it will work just like a new battery. Put the discharged battery in the charger and let it charge for 30-45 minutes. Quickly killing the Panzer Soldat mini boss as well as regular Zombies, there is no downside to the weapon, and the only reason it is not in S Tier is because one staff is clearly superior.Īlistair’s Annihilator: One of the many reasons it would be great to see the Chaos Story return is so that this underrated weapon could be used again. The ability to lift players into the sky when shooting the floor was also a fun touch.įire Staff: A great Origins Staff, this fire weapon burns hordes of Zombies with ease. While it took ages to kill Zombies, there is no denying how overpowered this mechanic was, and it proved to be the safest high-round weapon ever. Paralyzer: The most efficient Wonder Weapon ever, the Paralyzer excels for having infinite ammo. While the post-nerf variant was more balanced, it was still a great train killer. One shot could kill an entire round, carrying players as far as they want to to. Sliquifier: Before it was patched, the Sliquifier was completely broken on the map Die Rise. Players could kill trains or single enemies easily, and the Wave Gun also boasted some of the most ammo for a Wonder Weapon ever. Wave Gun: A fun transforming Wonder Weapon that allowed players to zap or cook Zombies, the Wave Gun was the best of both worlds. The DG-3 from Tag Der Toten also proved to be equally great, as the sniper-like nature made for a fun spin on a classic weapon. Boasting a cool visual style and awesome sounds alongside the ability to wipe out entire trains with electricity, it is easy to see why Zombies fans have made Wunderwaffe replicas over the years. Wunderwaffe DG-2/DG-3: The first Wonder Weapon added after the Ray Gun, Richtofen’s iconic creation has become a fan favorite. Running through a train of shrunken Zombies was both hilarious and effective, making the Baby Gun worthy of an A-Tier position. Turning special and normal Zombies into babies, players proceeded to kick them to death afterwards. Boasting an awesome slowing effect alongside great, consistent damage, there is nothing to dislike about the RAI K-84.īaby Gun: Shangri-La’s excellent train killer, the 31-79 JGb215 is arguably the cutest Zombies weapon ever. RAI K-84: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s second original Wonder Weapon, the Ray Rifle is an awesome gun in both Firebase Z and Zombies’ new Outbreak mode. The default Shotgun version is also fun, even if it is less effective at killing full trains. While Mob’s acid gat was overpowered, it was dethroned in Blood by the even more absurd Magmagat. RELATED: Why Double Tap Needs to be the Next Perk Added to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombiesīlundergat: A Mob of the Dead and Blood of the Dead staple, this Wonder Weapon is fun in any of its forms. That said, it still remains a solid Wonder Weapon. Unfortunately, while firing demonic skulls that eat Zombies is a blast, the slow-killing nature of the Void bow makes it the worst of the four. Alongside a great setting and main quest, the Elemental Bows are a blast to use. Void Bow: Der Eisendrache is a beloved map, and for good reason. Though it is just as fun to use on trains of the undead as the other Staffs, its severe ammo issues keep it out of A Tier. Wind Staff: The Staff of Wind, like many other Wonder Weapons in B Tier and below, suffers from a major lack of ammo. As such, even the awesome earth attacks of Gaia’s hand and Herema’s stunning sunbeam are not enough to escape B tier. While all these hands were unique and extremely fun to use, all suffered from major ammo problems. God Hands: The peak of the Chaos story in terms of map quality, Ancient Evil allowed players to wield the powers of four Greek icons– Charon, Herema, Gaia, and Ouranos. Though it got a damage buff inside Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Classified, its ammo issues hold it back from greatness. Winter’s Howl: While this ice gun is an in-universe attempt by the Americans to make a Wonder Weapon like the Ray Gun, it is a clear cut below. Larger gladiator mini bosses also require a few shots to take out, which is a major downside of this visually stunning weapon. While it is fun to train up enemies and paralyze them by holding them in the air, it takes far too long to kill. Serket’s Kiss: This living Scorpion fit the setting of IX well. Unfortunately, this power faded away in high rounds, with the weapon running out of ammo fast and quickly becoming useless. Scavenger: The explosive Scavenger sniper rifles excelled when combined with the PhD Flopper perk, as the splash damage being taken away allowed players to shoot the floor and essentially become invincible. While it doubled as a way to water plants and make them stronger, the gun ultimately suffered from a lack of ammo, keeping it within C Tier. KT-4: Zetsubou No Shima’s Wonder Weapon was essentially a more balanced Sliquifier, as it consumed three shots for each train kill. He gave his first public performance in 1941 while still a student at Sumner High School he was still a student there in 1944, when he was arrested for armed robbery after robbing three shops in Kansas City, Missouri, and then stealing a car at gunpoint with some friends. In 1972 he reached a new level of achievement when a rendition of " My Ding-a-Ling" became his only record to top the charts. However, these did not achieve the same success or lasting impact of his 1950s songs, and by the 1970s he was more in demand as a nostalgia performer, playing his past material with local backup bands of variable quality. After his release in 1963, Berry had several more successful songs, including " No Particular Place to Go", " You Never Can Tell", and " Nadine". He was sentenced to three years in prison in January 1962 for offenses under the Mann Act-he had transported a 14-year-old girl across state lines for the purpose of having sexual intercourse. īy the end of the 1950s, Berry was an established star, with several hit records and film appearances and a lucrative touring career. With Chess, he recorded "Maybellene"-Berry's adaptation of the country song " Ida Red"-which sold over a million copies, reaching number one on Billboard magazine's rhythm and blues chart. His break came when he traveled to Chicago in May 1955 and met Muddy Waters, who suggested he contact Leonard Chess, of Chess Records. By early 1953, influenced by the guitar riffs and showmanship techniques of the blues musician T-Bone Walker, Berry began performing with the Johnnie Johnson Trio. After his release, Berry settled into married life and worked at an automobile assembly plant. Manufacturers commonly report only those benchmarks (or aspects of benchmarks) that show their products in the best light. Given the large number of benchmarks available, a manufacturer can usually find at least one benchmark that shows its system will outperform another system the other systems can be shown to excel with a different benchmark. Nevertheless, CPUs with many execution units often complete real-world and benchmark tasks in less time than the supposedly faster high-clock-rate CPU. Benchmarks are now regularly used by compiler companies to improve not only their own benchmark scores, but real application performance.ĬPUs that have many execution units - such as a superscalar CPU, a VLIW CPU, or a reconfigurable computing CPU - typically have slower clock rates than a sequential CPU with one or two execution units when built from transistors that are just as fast. However, such a transformation was rarely useful outside the benchmark until the mid-1990s, when RISC and VLIW architectures emphasized the importance of compiler technology as it related to performance. For instance, during the 1980s some compilers could detect a specific mathematical operation used in a well-known floating-point benchmark and replace the operation with a faster mathematically equivalent operation. Prior to 2000, computer and microprocessor architects used SPEC to do this, although SPEC's Unix-based benchmarks were quite lengthy and thus unwieldy to use intact.Ĭomputer manufacturers are known to configure their systems to give unrealistically high performance on benchmark tests that are not replicated in real usage. Running this much smaller snippet on a cycle-accurate simulator can give clues on how to improve performance. For example, if a benchmark extracts the key algorithms of an application, it will contain the performance-sensitive aspects of that application. While application benchmarks usually give a much better measure of real-world performance on a given system, synthetic benchmarks are useful for testing individual components, like a hard disk or networking device.īenchmarks are particularly important in CPU design, giving processor architects the ability to measure and make tradeoffs in microarchitectural decisions. Application benchmarks run real-world programs on the system. Synthetic benchmarks do this by specially created programs that impose the workload on the component. See BogoMips and the megahertz myth.īenchmarks are designed to mimic a particular type of workload on a component or system. For example, Pentium 4 processors generally operated at a higher clock frequency than Athlon XP or PowerPC processors, which did not necessarily translate to more computational power a processor with a slower clock frequency might perform as well as or even better than a processor operating at a higher frequency. Therefore, tests were developed that allowed comparison of different architectures. Purpose Īs computer architecture advanced, it became more difficult to compare the performance of various computer systems simply by looking at their specifications. Benchmarking as a part of continuous integration is called Continuous Benchmarking. Software benchmarks are, for example, run against compilers or database management systems (DBMS).īenchmarks provide a method of comparing the performance of various subsystems across different chip/system architectures. The term benchmark is also commonly utilized for the purposes of elaborately designed benchmarking programs themselves.īenchmarking is usually associated with assessing performance characteristics of computer hardware, for example, the floating point operation performance of a CPU, but there are circumstances when the technique is also applicable to software. In computing, a benchmark is the act of running a computer program, a set of programs, or other operations, in order to assess the relative performance of an object, normally by running a number of standard tests and trials against it.
